We’re delighted to be supporting a premier league club who are currently recruiting for a VP of Technology!
This is a newly created role which will be responsible for leading and shaping all Technology, IT and Digital activity across the club.
This role will be focussed on driving a clear long-term technology roadmap which will be critical to the overall business function and performance.
Job Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy & Delivery – Develop and deliver a clear Data, Digital and Technology Strategy aligned to Club-wide objectives. The priority will be to create and maintain a multi-year Technology Roadmap
Digital Transformation & Integration – Own and deliver the Club’s Digital Transformation programme. Drive improvements in efficiency, fan experience and commercial outcomes
Systems & Architecture Oversight – Owning responsibility for reviewing and optimising all existing systems to ensure they are scalable, secure, resilient, highly-available, and fit for purpose
Technology Delivery & Implementation – Lead all major systems and technology implementation projects
Team Management – This role will be overseeing the IT & Digital department at the club with the aim to continue to grow the function moving forward
AI & Innovation – Define and lead the Club’s AI deployment strategy across Business Operations and the Club as a whole
Planning, Budgeting & Governance – Own Technology budgets including CAPEX and OPEX
Candidate Specification:
- Proven Senior Technology Leader with experience in delivering technology strategies and transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of IT operations, systems architecture and data strategy
- Managed large scale projects and budgets
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, working across the business up to C-level and Board as appropriate
- Experience working across Automation & AI
- A passion for sport & football. Experience doesn’t have to be from a sporting background but a passion for the industry is key.
- A skilled technology leader with proven experience in a global setting.
