Marketing and Communications Manager

We’re currently recruiting for a Marketing & Communications Manager to join my client based in Altrincham.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced communications professional to lead both external and internal communications across the UK business, working closely with senior leadership and global stakeholders to drive brand visibility, employee engagement, content strategy, events, and corporate communications initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

External Communications:

  • Partner with key UK stakeholders to develop and deliver strategic marketing and communications initiatives that support business growth objectives.
  • Work closely with the Global Social Media Manager to ensure timely and effective distribution of UK-focused content across digital platforms.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of client engagement initiatives and networking events, including hospitality experiences, partnership activations, and exclusive sporting opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media partners, industry influencers, and key external stakeholders.
  • Manage award submissions and recognition programmes that align with strategic business priorities and brand positioning.
  • Collaborate with the global communications team and regional market leads to ensure consistent messaging, best-practice sharing, and alignment with the global brand strategy.

Internal Communications:

  • Partner with the UK Senior Leadership Team to develop and deliver impactful internal communications that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with business priorities.
  • Work closely with HR to communicate people-focused initiatives, updates, and programmes in an engaging and accessible way.
  • Lead the redevelopment, management, and ongoing optimisation of the UK internal intranet platform.
  • Create and distribute a compelling monthly internal newsletter that highlights business updates, achievements, and employee stories.
  • Plan and deliver town halls and internal engagement initiatives that promote transparency, collaboration, and knowledge sharing across the business.
  • Support the planning and execution of company-wide social and cultural events in partnership with the Office Coordinator.
  • Foster collaboration and knowledge exchange with global communications colleagues and regional market leads.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience in communications, marketing, PR, or a related field, ideally within sports, media, entertainment, or a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Exceptional written, editorial, and content creation skills, with the ability to develop strategic and engaging communications for a variety of audiences.
  • Strong project management and organisational capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Demonstrated expertise in social media, digital communications, and content strategy.
  • Experience developing annual communications plans and content calendars, measuring performance, and using insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to manage external agencies, suppliers, partners, and professional networks.
  • A hands-on, proactive approach, with experience operating successfully within lean teams and influencing outcomes across the organisation.
  • Strong event management experience, including corporate events, networking functions, hospitality programmes, and speaker engagements.
